Linear search

A liniar search is a search algorithm that works in non sorted lists i searches through the list checking the number it is searching for against all the numbers
this code is faily simple to write as you only need to go through the list once and chek the number against the on in the current point in the list the output wther you find it or not.
here is some code that would work in python although keep in mind there are outher methods.

print("search the list")
choice = input(">>")
choice = int(choice.strip())
nopos= True
for number in range(len(numbers)):
 if choice == numbers[number]:
  print(choice, "is in place:", number+1)
  nopos = False
if nopos == True:
 print(choice, "could not be found")
